I joined the HOI news team in September of 2016 and began producing and hosting special programs. One year later I was working out in the field, reporting across the heart of Illinois. In 2018 I was moved to the morning anchor desk, where I worked for 11 months before transitioning to the evening team. You can now catch me weeknights on Heart of Illinois ABC at 5, 5:30 and 10pm alongside Bobby Oler.
My husband and I love living in this area, where we have the ability to enjoy rural areas and city convenience.
I was born and raised in Metamora with my two older sisters. I grew up watching HOI and it sparked my interest in broadcasting at a young age. It wasn’t long after that I was taking college courses under the very people I grew up watching.
I graduated from Bradley University in 2016 with a degree in Communications, concentrating on Broadcast Journalism. While I was in school, I was a Reporter/Anchor for BU-TV News, interned for two news stations and worked with the Peoria Rivermen.
I’m a cat lady at heart but my two Labrador Retrievers, Sierra and Kimber, have all my attention. We adopted these sisters from TAPS in Pekin in 2018.
When I’m not at work I enjoy working out, decorating and coaching cheerleading.
