PEORIA, Ill. (HOI) — An early morning fire in Peoria has been ruled an arson.
Crews rushed to the 2600 block of Wisconsin Avenue around 2:30 AM Wednesday morning, with fire and smoke being reported on the left and rear of the vacant home.
Battalion Chief Bud Sous says a full box alarm was called for extra firefighters to help fight the blaze.
Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof for ventilation.
It took about 30 minutes to put the fire out.
No one was injured.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
