Washington, D.C. has taken note of widespread crop concerns across Central Illinois.
On Friday, the Director of the USDA Risk Management Agency, along with bankers and crop insurance groups, invite local farmers to talk about what they will need to prepare for in case this year’s yields don’t return on investment.
The meeting is at the Roanoke Farmer’s Association, 1861 IL-116 in Roanoke.
Donuts and coffee will be served at 8:30AM, and speakers will begin at 9:00.
Seats are available for 150 but they are expecting many more.
The event is open to the public and is free.
