A large crowd came together Thursday evening to remember a Peoria County Board member who passed away suddenly.
Dr. Greg Adamson died earlier this week after collapsing in his home.
Thursday a memorial service was held in his honor in downtown Peoria.
Adamson was only 58 years old.
He’d served on the Peoria County Board for the past three years.
“He was determined to make his point using a fair fight, using all the cards on the table in front of you and making politics honorable, and I think that’s one thing I will always remember,” shared Board Chairman and friend Andrew Rand.
Rand said they planned to light a candle to place in Adamson’s normal spot at the board meeting following that gathering.
