PEORIA, Ill. (HOI) — There will be a new member joining the Peoria County board.
In a statement, it was announced Dr. Eden S. Blair will be appointed to represented district 6 at Thursday’s board meeting.
Since 2007, Dr. Blair has been an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at Bradley University.
“I look forward to working with Dr. Blair,” says Peoria County Board Chairman Andrew A. Rand. “Her extensive education in entrepreneurship and connections to the community will further enhance our collective board knowledge.”
Blair is filling the vacancy left by G. Allen Meyer’s resignation, which took place on May 15th. She will fill the remainder of his term, which will expire in December 2020.
She will also serve on the Heath Committee and Ways and Means Committee.
District 6 covers central Peoria, bounded roughly by I-74 to the west and south, Lake Ave to the north, and Sheridan road to the east.
