Sunny skies will continue this weekend along with the hot and humid weather. Highs will reach the low 90s with heat index values as highs as the mid to upper 90s. A few storms may be possible north of the I-80 corridor Saturday, but locally we should remain dry. Sunday will be a repeat, except that we’ll include a 20% chance for a few stray showers and storms.
The hot and humid weather continues for much of the work week as well. Our only rain chance at this point looks to be Tuesday at 20%. This will be from remnants of what is now Tropical Storm Barry. Most of the precipitation with this will remain to our south and east, but a few showers and storms may move into the area, especially east of the Illinois River.
The hottest part of our forecast will be toward the end of next week where highs may reach the mid 90s Thursday and Friday.
Saturday: Hot and humid. Highs in the low 90s.
Sunday: An isolated PM storm or two is possible. Hot and humid. Highs in the low 90s.
