Business owner allegedly stabs man in self-defense on Peoria’s W. Main St.

PEORIA (HOI) – Peoria Police were called to an altercation at a business in the 600 block of W. Main St. just after 7:30 Thursday night.

A police spokesperson said the business owner had tried to intervene in the altercation, when he was hit in the head. That’s when police said the man pulled a knife to defend himself, and stabbed the other man. He left the business and got away.

Sometime just before 10:30 p.m., dispatch said police found the man who had been stabbed at Church’s Chicken on Western Ave. They said he was taken to the hospital.

They said that business owner was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
