HANNA CITY (HOI) — Wildlife Prairie Park will have a new executive director starting November 1.
Roberta English was selected by the Friends of Wildlife Prairie Park Governing Board about a week ago, board chair Mike Everett said.
English currently works as the chief operating officer at Neighborhood House, where she has spent the last six years, according to a release by the Park on Thursday.
“I’m excited to get to work building up another one of Greater Peoria’s prized assets,” English said, “ We want to make the park accessible to more people so they can be inspired to explore, enjoy, and care for our environment.”
English, according to the release, will take over, “when finances are tight, staff is then, and a $2.4 million capital project is underway.”
“In addition to her outstanding professional reputation, Roberta brings a wealth of leadership and an excellent record of fundraising within our community,” said Vice Chair Michelle Hubble, “Further, she has a proven record of collaboration across our local non-for-profit organizations.”
