EAST PEORIA (HOI) – The Illinois CancerCare Foundation hosted its annual Cureageous Outrageous party this evening at the Par-A-Dice.
This year’s goal? $265,000.
Co-chair Jaime Harper described how the funds will help.
“They go to help give our patients opportunities and hope for clinical trials,” she said. “They also provide Thanksgiving meals for patients who can’t afford or maybe aren’t healthy enough to make their own meals.”
The event also recognized the recipients of the Roc-Doc Award, which honors local physicians, to mark the 10 years of this event. All previous Roc-Doc winners were invited back.
