Kristkindlmarkt brings holiday cheer together with food and beer

Christmas magic filled the Lindenhof Satruday morning for the 10th Annual Kristkindlmarkt in Peoria. Over 25 vendors are out this weekend with plenty of arts, crafts and food.

It wouldn’t be a true market without imported items from Germany and Austria on hand. You can also watch live musical performances and see people in traditional German hats and Lederhosen.

Organizers say there will be different vendors for families to enjoy every weekend. “So, you come out here and buy one of a kind items. I’ve been to the one in Chicago, it’s fantastic. But they have the same vendors year after year and you buy the same ornaments and decorations year after year. Here, everything is different year to year for the most part,” explained organizer Jeff Pulfer.

The Kristkindlmarkt will be open again Sunday from 11 to 5.
If you can’t make it then, the Christmas vendors will return on December 14th and 15th.
