Bloomington, Ill. (HOI) - The McLean County Museum of History was decked out with plenty of garland and boughs of holly for their annual Christmas at the Courthouse.

Visitors were able to enjoy all of the museum's exhibits for free. Kids had arts and crafts, games and even Christmas cookies. The museum also welcomed performers from the Crossroads Area Student Theatre Group in full costume for the Dickens Christmas Festival.

"You can meet the people and see the little vignettes in our building too," said Candace Summers, McLean County Museum of History Education Director. "It's really been a lot of fun. It's really brought this building to life during this holiday season."

Summers says this event is a thank you to all of the museum's members, friends and sponsors for their continued support. She says their support is key for the museum to provide free educational programs to over 8,200 local students and senior citizens each year.
