Bradley University issues safety alert after reported assault


PEORIA, Ill. (HOI) -- Bradley University police are warning its campus community after a reported aggravated assault.

In a statement, Bradley and Peoria Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault outside of a student apartment complex at 828 North Underhill Street at 11:23 PM Friday night.

That is located a block east of North University Street, and a block south of North Main Street.

There, police say a Bradley student was approached by an unknown suspect, who displayed a handgun. The suspect later fled in an unknown direction, with police unable to find the suspect.

The suspect was described as a male wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.

No injuries were reported, and police will continue to patrol the area.
