PEORIA, Ill. (HOI) -- It remains unclear what caused a vacant Peoria home to go up in flames early Saturday morning.
It broke out at 6:15 AM Saturday at 111 East Illinois Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the one and a half story wood frame home.
Fire was found on the first floor, and was knocked down within 10 minutes.
No one was injured.
Damage is estimated at $15,000.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
