Warehouse District Brewery, The Bearded Owl, is celebrating two years of business in the River City.

Owner and brewer Nick Babcock says their team is thrilled they have made it to this milestone.

For part of the celebration the business premiered four new brews, three of which that have aged in whisky barrels for up to a year.

They also invited a fellow local business Meltdown Creative Works, to do live screen printing for logo t-shirts and bags.

Babcock says his team loves being a part of the downtown scene and they're equally excited about surrounding expansion and recent developments.

"It's super important to support your local companies, your local businesses and in fact we try to live by that by inviting a lot of those people out. We work with a lot of local businesses to do the beers. It took a lot to get here, a lot of hard work and effort and we got a great staff." Babcock shared proudly.

He also credited some of their flavor ideas not just from years of brewing experience, but also to customer suggestions.

As Bearded Owl heads into their third year, Babcock said they hope to keep creating prairie inspired, hand crafted ales; and even plans to expand their brews to other businesses.
