One actor from the musical 'The Book of Mormon' is hoping to inspire some kids from his hometown with this message: "If you really really love it, do it."

Will Lee-Williams is playing 'The General' during Peoria's run of the hit musical. That's one of the main characters.

Williams was at his alma mater, Richwoods High School, talking to students about his theater career. Seeing people from his hometown become successful encouraged him, and he hopes his story can do the same for others.

"I think it's going to be very impactful," he said. "You know Richard Pryor's from here and I loved watching him when I could you know?"

'The Book of Mormon' is at the Peoria Civic Center through Sunday. Tickets are still available online or at the box office.
