Downtown CEFCU robbed, Peoria Police looking for suspect

UPDATE (5:20 p.m.) Peoria Police release surveillance photos of the suspect in CEFCU robbery.

PEORIA (HOI) -- Peoria Police are searching for a man after a robbery Friday at CEFCU's downtown location.

The robbery happened at 2:10 p.m. Friday at 221 Fulton, when the man entered the CEFCU, handed a note to the teller and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, PPD spokesperson Amy Dotson said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet, 5 inches, medium complexion, long dreads, under 30 years old, and wearing a dark-colored beanie, black pants, black jacket with a gold logo, and a black shirt underneath.

The suspect was also wearing a grey backpack and white shoes.
