PEORIA (HOI) -- Sweet treats, unique art pieces, jewelry and more were sold today at the Black Business Expo at Bradley University!

The ladies of the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, hosted their annual Black business expo to showcase Black business owners in the Chicagoland and Peoria surrounding areas.

Alexiss Gilmore, chapter president, says Black History Month is the perfect time to support black business owners by giving them a space to promote their businesses.

Shoppers from the Bradley and Peoria community enjoyed purchasing products from black owned businesses and appreciated the culture brought to the community during this historic month.

Gilmore says the amount of people that attended the expo exceeded their expectations and they are looking forward to having an even bigger turnout next year.
