Three people from Morton were injured when crossing a street in Chicago's West Loop. WBBM-TV reports that around 4:30 pm on Friday, an SUV was trying to make a green light when the driver lost control, hitting three male pedestrians crossing the street.

The three were on their way to a Blackhawks game at the United Center. One pedestrian was in critical condition, another was in serious condition.

One of the men was Marshall Tucker, the track coach and a teacher at Morton High School. According to an internal email, Tucker is currently in a neck brace and has a brain bleed.

The email says Tucker also has a large cut on the back of his head and suffered several injuries to his left side including his ear, hip, and leg. However, his wife says he has been "fairly alert, considering all that he has been through."

This story will be updated.
