CHILLICOTHE POLICE

CHILLICOTHE (HOI) -- With schools closed during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and an executive stay-at-home order, the Chillicothe Police Department is stepping up to keep kids engaged through art.

Through April 3, students in the Illinois Valley Central 321 School District can participate in the CPD Art Contest for a chance to win prizes and have their art displayed in the CPD lobby.

Ribbons will be awarded to those who place first, second or third.

Winners of each age group will get an art set, with the overall winner getting a $100 gift card to Hobby Lobby.

Age groups:

  • 4 and under
  • 5-6
  • 7-9
  • 10-13
  • 14-18

Officers will choose the top 3 entries for each group. Voting to the public will be on Facebook with the most "Likes" of the top 3.
