OSF, UnityPoint requesting donations of PPE during COVID-19 pandemic

(HOIABC) -- OSF Healthcare and UnityPoint Health are asking the community for donations of masks, respirators and other supplies.

The OSF location in Morton currently serves as a drop off location – where people can donate masks, respirators, gloves, wipes, thermometers and hand sanitizer.

UnityPoint Health is also accepting donations – including surgical masks, face shields, N95 respirators, gowns, ventilators, and adhesive tape.

Those wishing to donate these items to UnityPoint are asked to include your name, phone number, and description and contact 309-672-4958 or email

UnityPoint is also accepting handmade masks – to be used in areas of indirect patient care to preserve their own supplies.

Those wishing to donate handmade masks can do so at the Hult Center for Health Living, 5215 North Knoxville Avenue in Peoria, Monday – Friday, 9-2 pm. The hospital requests they be put in a zip lock bag.

Medical personnel is also needed to volunteer – people to treat respiratory infections, those with emergency department experience, critical care experience, any type of hospital experience (including recent graduates), and those trained in ventilators and critical care.

Those interested are asked to email
