We'll be staying mild and muggy overnight with lows in the upper 60s. A few showers and storms will linger late this evening into early tonight, but rain chances will begin to drop once we lose the heating of the day. However, a few showers and storms may linger after midnight west of the Illinois River.
Expect another warm and muggy day tomorrow with highs in the mid 80s. Scattered PM storms will be possible once again. Locally high winds and heavy rain will be possible within any thunderstorms. More storms will be possible again on Wednesday, but Thursday may be our best rain chance this week as a slow approaching front finally moves the area.
Behind this front, cooler and more comfortable air will move in for Friday and the upcoming week. We'll be dry this weekend as well with highs in the 70s.
