Peoria, Il (HOI) - If you see a pack of about 200 goats this week in Peoria, don't be alarmed, they're hard at work.

'Goats on the Go' is an alternative to power tools. You can rent a herd to come take down invasive weeds and brush, and that's what they're doing for ComEd.

The goats are expected to graze about 20 acres in the next three weeks.

You may be wondering, why goats? The owner of the Peoria affiliate Sydny Clark says in some cases, this is a safer option.

"They're going going to be able to reach that may be hard for humans to reach, dangerous for humans to reach, you may not be able to see in this area but there are lots of ravines, a little bit treacherous," said Clark.

The business started in Ames, Iowa, but now has 25 affiliates all over the country, Clark says.
