(HOI) -- More sports are continuing to return as we push further into Governor JB Pritzker's phased plan for the state of Illinois. Saturday night, DIRTcar Racing returned to central Illinois.
Peoria Speedway and Spoon River Speedway near Lewistown welcomed back racers and fans to their respective tracks.
Spoon River had their grandstand limited to 500 adults and 50 kids, asking spectators to socially distance and spread out in the stands. They also performed temperature checks for everyone coming into the race.
The nights races started with hornets, then on to the modified races, and the pro-late models.
Saturday marked the first time in 8 months that the Peoria Speedway say racing on its track.
