"When I saw the video, of course like anyone else I was mixed with emotions, it really hit home."

That's what Travis Ledford says following the video that is now viral.

A Chillicothe teenager named Makenna faced with a number of teens and adults verbally and physically attacking her.

However, "Kindness for Makenna is now coming from all walks of life.

One reason why Todd Toliver decided to step up to the plate and host a softball fundraiser in Makenna's hometown.

"We really just wanted to reach out for Makenna and let her know that people stand behind her and that she's loved. With all that's going on nowadays, maybe just kind of boost her up, let her know that we're behind her that the community is behind her."

Toliver says the support is unreal, people expressing interest in playing and volunteering, with donations coming in left and right.

Travis Ledford owns Bombs Sports, growing up in Chillicothe he says it was a no-brainer, he wanted to do something to help Makenna out.

It didn't take him long to get the inspiration to design this jersey in honor of the bullied teen.

"Somebody got a hold of me, they were like she likes purple, M&Ms, roses, owls, and I was going to say once she said purple, that's my favorite color, we're rolling with it."

100% of the proceeds raised for the event will be donated to Makenna and her family.

"I just really felt like I could do something to help her out, and the family, and really just build awareness around the situation but still bring light to it as well." Ledford adds.

"I figured if I put together this softball tournament for her, maybe raise for her charity, or a college fund, let her know what future is ahead of her, she has so much to look forward to and now she has a bigger family than she ever knew." says Toliver.

July 25th, they're all Batting Up Against Bullying for Makenna.

There's also a Drive for Makenna event scheduled for July 18th.

Participants are asked to drive by Makenna's house to honk and wave, while showing their support.
