Unsettled Weather for the Weekend

The heat is on in the Heart of Illinois the next few days. We are going to see abundant sunshine, calm winds and highs in the upper 80s today. Tonight a warm front will lift north over the area giving us breezy south winds and increasing humidity for our Friday. Temps tomorrow will soar into the low 90s across the area.

We will see a powerful cold front drop out of Wisconsin tomorrow night and give us a line of strong to severe storms. The main threat tomorrow night will be damaging winds and large hail. In terms of a time frame for the storms, it will likely be a late evening event from 9 PM to 1 AM.

Then that cold front will set up shop over the area and give us several rounds of showers and storms for much of the weekend.
