Today may look nice outside, but looks are deceiving because that will quickly change tonight.
Tonight: All this heat and humidity sets the atmosphere up for some strong storms to develop. A strong line of storms will arrive in our Northern areas by 9 or 10 PM this evening. The arrival time will be after sunset which will give the atmosphere a chance to cool down which will hopefully cause the line of storms to start weakening. However, these storms do have the capability of producing some damaging winds up to 60 mph and large hail. The threat for severe weather is highest the further north you are. Stay weather aware this evening.
Tomorrow: We'll catch a short break from showers and storms tomorrow morning into early afternoon. Expect partly sunny skies during the rain break. Temperatures will be just a few degrees colder due to cold front from overnight passing over us. High temperature in the upper 80s.
7-Day: Rain rain go away! Rain chances do not stop after the weekend. Showers are still in the forecast for the start of the new work week. Temperatures do climb back up to the lower 90's after the weekend.
