PEORIA (HOI) - Peoria Police are reporting four different shooting incidents Friday night into Saturday morning. The four shootings resulted in at least seven victims suffering injuries.
Shooting Incident #1
The first happened around 10:30 PM Friday. A ShotSpotter alert of 9 rounds went off in the 2400 block of North Sheridan Road.
One person was found injured. A 20 year old female was shot while in a vehicle. She suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The injury was considered non-life threatening. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police said they were able to gather evidence at the scene to indicate a male suspect fire the gun.
Shooting Incident #2
Then at approximately 2:35 Saturday morning officers located a man shot in the 2700 block of W. Montana St. The 25-year-old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and shoulder area.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The victim was found down in the middle of the street. Police were able to determine the crime may have happened in the 2700 block of W. Trewyn.
Shooting Incident #3
Then police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating 37 rounds fired. It happened shortly after the second incident, around 2:46 AM in the 1400 block of S.W. Jefferson.
Police said several additional calls to police indicated there were multiple victims.
Two adults men, 22 and 29, were located in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. They were shot in the torso and legs. Both were in critical condition and taken to a local hospital.
A third victim was taken to the Peoria Police Headquarters via private vehicle. That victim, a 31-year-old female, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. She was then taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Then, a fourth victim was taken to the hospital via private vehicle. An 18-year-old female had been shot in the arm. Her injury is considered to be non-life threatening.
Shooting Incident #4
Finally, at 3:32 AM Peoria Police said a 34-year-old man was shot in the leg near the 600 block of Wayne. The victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
That's where the police made the determination the victim was shot in the leg and started a police report. The victims injury is considered non-life threatening.
