PEORIA (HOI) - 27-year-old Seth Guthrie was driving his motorcycle on Sterling Avenue in Peoria Sunday night when tragedy struck.
"He's a super nice guy. It's really unfortunate that it happen to him. No one deserves it but especially not him," said one of his close friends, Chris Peters.
Friends are still reeling from the news that their long-time confidant Seth Guthrie was killed in a motorcycle versus car accident.
"It was really hard to believe. It's still hard to believe now. I got the message and it's pure shock and don't want to believe now. Like I said it's still hard to now," added Peters.
Peters and Guthrie used to do everything together, including riding.
"I was actually the one who found his first motorcycle on Craig's list and we rode a tone together since 2017," Peters said.
Now Peters has to get used to not having Guthrie by his side.
"He was just that funny guy you'd always like to be around. Anytime you were down to do something he was there with you. He was the person by my side no matter what we were doing," said Peters.
As Guthrie's friends come to terms with his sudden death, they want people to be more mindful of motorcycles on the road .
"Right now there is a ton on the road with the nice 90 degree weather and people need to take the time and look and pay attention," said Peters.
