PEORIA (HOI) - 18-year-old Dearian "Bishop" Patterson was arrested without incident Monday evening by Peoria Police. The details are outlined in a lengthy police report obtained by HOI ABC. Patterson was arrested on charges of vehicle hijacking, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated assault, home invasion, theft, possession of stolen property, criminal damage to property, unlawful use of a weapon, no FOID card, and aggravated kidnapping, possession of stolen property, and possession of a handgun under the age of 21.

The arrest came after Police initially said he forced a pregnant woman at gunpoint into a vehicle. Later, Police said the woman went willingly.

It allegedly started when Patterson forced his way into a home at CityScape in Peoria, using the woman as a diversion to get the occupants to open the door. Patterson then allegedly entered the residence assaulting at least one occupant and stealing multiple Apple iPhones from the victims. He then got into another victim's vehicle, instructing the pregnant woman to drive away.

Patterson was then located by Police when he surrendered into their custody. Upon search of the premises, Police located a black handgun, similar to the one described by the victims. The gun was then traced back to a firearm dealer in East Peoria, and was listed as stolen.
