All things considered, the weekend forecast looks pretty quiet. However, some rain will be possible at times, especially on Sunday.
Rain chances tomorrow are only about 20%, and that will favor areas east of the the Illinois River. An area of low pressure to our southeast will be moving northward, and it will likely be too far away for any substantial rain chances. There could be enough moisture locally on the backside of this system to produce a few showers, but overall I still would expect mostly dry conditions for most of us tomorrow.
Rain chances will be a little higher on Sunday, but still will be limited to scattered showers and storms later in the day. Our best rain chances over the next few days will come Sunday night into Monday as a cold front approaches the area from the northwest.
Highs will be in the low 80s over the next few days. It won't be too muggy this weekend, but it may feel a little humid at times.
Expect cooler and more comfortable conditions later in the 7 day forecast. Join Chief Meteorologist Brian Walder on the news this evening at 5, 5:30 and 10 for a full look ahead!
