All things considered, the weekend forecast looks pretty quiet. However, some rain will be possible at times, especially tomorrow.
Rain chances today are only about 20%, and that will favor areas east of the the Illinois River. An area of low pressure to our southeast will be moving northward, and it will likely be too far away for any substantial rain chances. There could be enough moisture locally on the backside of this system to produce a few showers, but overall I still would expect mostly dry conditions for most of us.
Rain chances will be a little higher tomorrow, but still will be limited to scattered showers and storms later in the day. Our best rain chances over the next few days will come tomorrow night into Monday as a cold front approaches the area from the northwest.
Highs will be in the low 80s today and tomorrow. It won't be too muggy this weekend, but it may feel a little humid at times.
More comfortable conditions are on the way next week, including some highs in the 70s!
