BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) - The pandemic is forcing Bloomington's Miller Park Zoo to get a little creative with its "Brew at the Zoo" event.

This year they're calling it "Brew for the Zoo." Four local breweries will make a limited edition beers for different animals.

Keg Grove Brewing Company kicked off the event Friday introducing the Iron Eagle based off the bald eagle. A portion of the beer sales will be donated to the zoo. Co-owner Jeff Maroz said that's a win-win.

"You know the zoo is looking to raise money, they have to do it and we're personally always looking to work with the community," Maroz said. "One of our mottos is community first, beer first."

Keg Grove also recently adopted the bald eagle exhibit at the zoo. Next weekend, a new beer will be revealed at White Oak Brewing. "Brew for the Zoo" goes on for two more weekends after that.
