Tri-County health officials report 5 COVID-19-related deaths since Friday

(HOI) -- Tri-County area health officials are reporting five COVID-19 deaths since Friday.

In Peoria County, a female in her 60s and a male in his 90s are the latest COVID-19-related deaths to be reported, bringing the county's total to 41.

The male, according to the Peoria City/County Health Department, was a resident of Apostolic Christian Skylines. The female was not a resident of a long term care facility.

The Tazewell County Health Department is reporting a female in her 30s died. She was not a resident of a long term care facility.

Tazewell County is also reporting the death of a man in his 60s, who was not a resident of a long term care facilities, and a female in her 70s who was a resident of Aperion Morton Villa.

Peoria County on Monday also reported 152 additional cases for a total of 2,954.

Tazewell added 60 new cases, bringing its total to 1,397, and Woodford County reported 18 additional cases for a total of 361.

The Tri-County health departments report in the area 76.4% have recovered, while 21.6% are at home in isolation and .7& are hospitalized.

Area hospitals are reporting 15 COVID-19 cases are in the intensive care unit, as well as three persons under investigation for having the virus.

There are currently 43 non-ICU beds in use by those who have tested positive and those under investigation.
