FULTON COUNTY (HOI) -- Three people were injured in a Tuesday afternoon car crash in Fulton County, according to the Illinois State Police.
In all, three cars were involved in the incident on Ill. Route 9, about a half mile east of Elliot Road, at about 12:09 p.m.
The driver of a 2003 Saturn was traveling westbound on Route 9 when it crossed the center line of the road and struck two other cars traveling eastbound, a 2012 Chevrolet and then a 2016 Buick, according to the ISP.
The driver of the Saturn, a 17-year-old female from Cuba, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles, an 86-year-old woman from Canton and a 68-year-old woman from Pekin, were both taken to area hospitals with injuries.
All lanes were shut down for about two hours and reopened at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Any charges are pending an investigation, the ISP reported.
