Health officials announce 6th COVID-19-related death in Woodford County
(HOI) -- Woodford County is reporting its sixth COVID-19-related death on Wednesday.
Health officials with the Tri-County area health departments said the man was in his 90s with comorbidities and was associated with a long-term care facility.
The latest announcement brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Woodford to six.
The county also announced seven new cases for a total of 375.
Peoria County announced 69 additional cases to bring its total to 3,052 and Tazewell County added 33 cases for a total of 1,475.
Previously, Peoria and Tazewell counties have reported 43 and 16 COVID-19 deaths, respectively.
The Tri-County area's total number of cases rose to 4,902.
Health officials also reported 76.9% have recovered, while 21% are at home in isolation and .9% remain hospitalized.
Area hospitals are announced 17 confirmed cases and three individuals under investigation of having the virus are in the intensive care unit.
There are currently 35 non-ICU beds in use by those who have tested positive and those under investigation.
