PEORIA (HOI) — Quest Charter Academy is getting ten thousand dollars for its remote learning efforts.
Announced today, the money usually goes to Quest teachers to support causes like STEM programs and field trips. It's all part of the Peoria NEXT Foster Fund for the Glen A. Barton Science and Technology Education Grants.
This year, the funding was approved by the Community Foundation of Central Illinois once it became clear it would be better spent on remote learning tools.
The money will go towards student equipment like headphones, Wi-Fi hotspots, and other pieces of hardware to make the remote learning experience easier for students.
