Freeze Warning tonight, then elevated fire risk through Saturday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

It was a cool day today, and things only get colder tonight as lows drop into the low 30s by tomorrow morning.

A Freeze Warning is in effect area-wide for tomorrow morning.

Be mindful that temperatures this low could damage or kill any plants, so cover up or bring inside any plants that will be sensitive to freezing temperatures.

Areas of frost will be possible tomorrow morning as well thanks in part to calming winds overnight.

Winds will pick back up over the next couple of days. Wind gusts tomorrow will be in the 20-25 mph range, but 40+ mph wind gusts will be possible on Saturday.

Due to these high winds and dry conditions at the surface, an elevated fire risk may be possible once again over the next 48 hours.

Avoid any open burns for the next few days, and be extra careful with any lit cigarettes or matches.
