Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. (HOI) -- The first 5 minutes of tonight's game were simply bad for the Illini. With 14:45 seconds left in the first-half, Head Coach Brad Underwood called a time-out to refocus his team. They were down 19-4 at that point. Following that timeout Illinois went on a 39-24 run to go into half-time tied up at 43-43.

The Illini run would continue in the second-half. They were led by Ayo Dosunmu who finished tonight's game with 30 points (21 in the second-half). Kofi Cockburn (23 pts) and Georgi Bezhanishvili (8 pts) combined to go 15-of-18 from the floor.

With :27 seconds left Penn States' Jamari Wheeler committed a foul on Andre Curbelo at half-court. Ayo Dosunmu took exception to the foul and upon coming to the defense of his teammate was given a double technical. Still no word on if this will affect his status for Illinois next game against Indiana on Saturday.
