New Year’s Day snow finally melting, but more is on the way

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We finally broke out of the stubborn weather pattern that we've been in since the beginning of the year. It was a sunny and mild day today highs in the 40s for many us.

We could see more cloud cover at times tomorrow, but it will be another mild day with highs reaching the mid 40s by the afternoon.

Thursday will still be mild with highs near 40, but rain will be possible as early as Thursday afternoon or evening as a cold front approaches the area.

Behind this front, temperatures will drop and we will see a changeover to light snow.

Light snow is expected to continue into Friday as well as an upper low passes through the area.

Friday will be colder with highs only in the low 30s.

At this point, whatever snow we see later this week doesn't look like it will be a big snowfall, but I don't expect just a dusting either.

It looks like upward of a couple of inches may be possible. While it is maybe a day or so too early to talk about specific numbers, here's a breakdown of probabilities for how much snow we may see.

We'll continue to keep an eye on the latest forecast data and give any updates to this forecast.

Tune in this evening for your full 10 Day Forecast!
