NORMAL (HOI) - The Town of Normal isn't waiting until the big storm before deciding whether there should be parking ban.

Town staffers announced Friday the parking ban on all streets will start Sunday at 7 p.m. and last until further notice so snowplows have enough room to clear roadways.

Cars parked on any streets in Normal have to be moved to driveways, garages, or parking lots.

People who don't have driveways or garages and can move their cars to lots at any of Normal's parks, including Anderson, Fairview, and Underwood Parks.

Town staff is also telling motorists to stay at least 100 feet behind snowplows and salt trucks, and advising them not to pass those vehicles.
