Weekends and wintry weather have tied at the hip this year. If it seems like it's been snowing every weekend in 2021, you're on to something.
By definition, measurable snow is snowfall 0.1" or greater. A dusting doesn't count as measurable, but will show up as a trace of snow in observations.
With that in mind, we have had snowfall every weekend since the New Year started, but not every weekend has seen measurable snowfall.
Another round of snow is possible with weekend, with up to 1-2" of snow possible north of I-74 Sunday afternoon and evening.
As it stands now, we do not have snow chances in the forecast next weekend. Time will tell if we'll be able to break this trend then.
