(HOI) -- Coming off a sweep of Drake, the Illinois State Volleyball (7-4, 5-2) team kept things rolling with a 3-1 win over Valparaiso (3-6) in their series opener.

"We don't really have drop-off points. Every day I think we're going into practice and doing great and it's always a great feeling walking out of the gym after practice, so I'm really excited to see where we keep going," said Illinois State Senior Outside Hitter Kaylee Martin.

Leading the way for Illinois State were Kaylee Martin with 18 kills, Stef Jankiewicz with 48 assists, Kendal Meier with 23 digs, Nicole Lund with 4 blocks, and Kaity Weimerskirch with 4 aces.

"I think we’re hitting our stride. Our depth just gets better. There are players who haven’t played yet, that can come in and do the same thing as the player in front of them. I think we’re very fortunate that we have enough depth to make changes any time we need," said Illinois State Head Coach Leah Johnson.

ISU and Valpo wrap up their series Monday at 4 p.m. on ESPN3.

Bradley (4-3, 4-3) was also coming off a sweep, they took down Indiana State last weekend, and they started this weekend off with a 3-1 win over Evansville (3-6) on the road.

Three Braves turned in double-doubles, highlighted by a team-high 18 kills and match-best 23 digs from Hannah Thompson. Kora Kauling added 42 assists along with a career high 18 digs, while Kat Poore notched 15 kills and 16 digs in the team’s first road win of the year.

Bradley and Evansville close out the series Monday with a 6 p.m. first serve on ESPN+.
