No. 6 ICC Women pick up big win at Spoon River, but the men lose their third game this season

CANTON (HOI) -- The #6 ICC Women's Basketball team suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday against Lake Land, but were able to get back in the win column on Sunday against Spoon River College. The Cougars (7-1) picked up a 89-67 win over the Snappers (1-6).

According to Head Coach Karrie Redeker her team leaders were Camryn Stafford with 12 points, Derria Edwards with 12 points and 5 assists, Nia Williams with 10 points, and Ayanna Gibbs with 8 points and 8 assists.

ICC gets back on the home court on Tuesday against Triton at 5:30 p.m.

The ICC Men's Basketball team had a two-game winning streak going, but had it snapped by Spoon River College. The Cougars (2-3) fell to the Snappers (7-3) 77-64.

Their next game also comes on Tuesday when they host Kankakee Community College at 7:30 p.m.
