Goodfield (HOI) --- On Saturday morning, the Eureka-Goodfield Fire Department held its annual pancake breakfast for members of the community.
Coordinators say the event normally runs in November, but they held off this year for better weather.
The breakfast is free, but donations were accepted. Any proceeds would go to new gear and equipment for the department.
Fire chief Craig Neal says the event is a way for residents to meet and thank local first responders, and that the department really appreciates the support.
"It is very humbling (and) we are very thankful," Neal said. "When we can use this venue to do this, it helps bring people together."
Neal says some of the donations this year will go towards gloves, flashlights and even new griddles for future fundraisers.
