PEORIA (HOI) — Peoria High School on Wednesday morning was placed under lockdown due to an incident with an unloaded gun.
A spokesperson with Peoria Public Schools said the school went on lockdown at 10 a.m. Wednesday , but it has since been lifted.
In a letter to families, PPS officials said, “No one was injured during the incident, all of our students are currently safe and we are currently following all safety protocols. I am sending this to keep you updated and to assure you that your student is safe.”
