One injured in shots fired incident in Bloomington


BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (HOI) -- A person suffers minor injuries after a shots fired call in Bloomington.

Police say it happened around 2 PM Wednesday in the area of Mason and Locust Streets.

There, they found multiple spent shell casings, and were later told about a possible victim at a local hospital.

Officers arrived, and were later able to figure out no one was shot, but one person had minor injuries resulting from damage to a vehicle during the incident.

While at the hospital, police found a vehicle that had multiple bullet strikes.

Police say in a statement that information suggests at least four people were in the vehicle when the incident occurred, and it was targeted with gunfire by an unknown suspect or suspects.

No one else was injured, and no other property was damaged.
