Having a knack for hands on science experiments is something "Miss. B" says she's enjoyed throughout her career.
The Peoria Hebrew Day School teacher says reading plays an integral part in her classroom coming up with positive results.
"I love having them do hands on things, but they have to read about it as well. So I do a lot of vocabulary, the words I have on my 'world word wall' are about science and the big words that they need to know just in general."
She says she plans to use the $1,000 check for an upgrade to the students Chemistry unit and basketball rim outdoors.
