PEORIA (HOI) - Police say two people are wounded after a shooting at a party in Downtown Peoria Friday night.

Officers were called to the corner of Fayette Street and Madison Avenue around 10 p.m., and arrived to find a crowd of around 100 people gathered in the street.

Officers say they located a 15 year-old female victim with a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital via ambulance.

Officers confirmed a second victim - a 14 year-old female - arrived at a local hospital via private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the foot.

Police say both victims suffered non life threatening injuries.

City officials closed Fayette Street between Madison and Monroe for about one hour in order to disperse the crowd.

Police say a partygoer estimated there were around 200 people in attendance.

Witnesses say the crowd inside the party became unruly, a fight broke out and everyone spilled into the street when shots were fired.
