PEORIA (HOI) - Another piece of summer is returning after a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's the return of performances under the Corn Stock Theatre tent at Laura Bradley Park.

Pandemic restrictions forced the outdoor theatre group to turn digital so audiences could watch performances online.

Maggie Sloter, Corn Stock's grants and fundraising coordinator, said virtual performances are so different than being under the big-top style tent.

"We were really lucky that we were able to do a lot of digital plays over the pandemic, so we were still active," she said.

However, Sloter added that "there's nothing like gathering together under the stars for some live theater and it's just going to be amazing."

The first show of the summer starts July 8 with "My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra.

The theatre tent is located at 1700 North Park Road in Laura Bradley Park.

Tickets and other information can be found on Corn Stock's website.
