More heat and humidity on the way

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Thursday will be another hot and humid day across the Heart of Illinois with temperatures back into the upper 80's.

An isolated shower and brief storm are possible during the afternoon and evening, but chances are low. Most of us will remain dry for today.

Wildfire smoke will continue through Thursday's forecast, leading to another round of hazy conditions. Some of this smoke could make its way to the surface, leading to a drop in air quality.

You may want to limit the amount of time you spend outdoors today if you have a sensitive respiratory system, as the smoke could affect breathing.

Heat and humidity will only continue to build over the next few days with daily highs reaching the lower 90's. Heat indices will push the triple digits through the weekend. If you have any outdoor plans the next several days, make sure to limit your down outdoors, take breaks and have plenty of water.

Make sure to tune in this morning to get the full 10 Day Forecast!
